BowlBrain Leagues (“BowlBrain”, “we”, “us”) provides software for running youth and adult bowling leagues — scores, standings, schedules, and statistics — on the web and as a mobile app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
Information we collect
Account information. When a league administrator creates an account we collect an email address and password (passwords are stored hashed by our authentication provider, never in plain text).
League and bowling data. Administrators enter league content — team names, bowler names, scores, handicaps, schedules, venues, and announcements. Bowler records are created and managed by league administrators.
Device / push token. If you enable notifications, we store a push token (a Firebase Cloud Messaging or Web Push identifier) so we can deliver alerts about your league. It contains no personal content.
Usage analytics. We collect aggregate, largely anonymous usage data (pages viewed, general device/browser type) to improve the product.
How we use information
- Operate the league features you use (scoring, standings, schedules, stats).
- Authenticate administrators and secure access to league data.
- Send notifications you have opted into (e.g. new scores, announcements, reschedules).
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Service providers
We share data only with vendors that help us run the service, under their own terms:
- Supabase — database and authentication.
- Google Firebase (FCM) — mobile push delivery.
- Vercel — hosting and performance analytics.
- Google Analytics — aggregate usage analytics.
Notifications
Push notifications are opt-in and can be turned off any time from the notification settings in the app, or in your device/browser settings. Disabling them removes your stored push token on the next change.
Children's privacy
BowlBrain is a league-management tool used by administrators and parents; it is not directed to children, and children do not create their own accounts. Bowler information for minors is entered and controlled by the league administrator, who is responsible for having the appropriate permission to do so. If you believe a minor’s data has been provided without proper consent, contact us and we will remove it.
Data retention and security
We retain league data for as long as an account is active or as needed to provide the service. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Administrators can request deletion of their account and associated league data.
Your rights and choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may opt out of notifications at any time. To make a request, contact us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
